INTRODUCTION –

A multipurpose Ayurvedic preparation very much useful in various acid peptic disorders

INGREDIENTS –

—MISHRI OR SUGAR CANDY 66 parts

—NISHOTH 44 parts

—LAUNG 11 parts

—SAUNTH, MARICH, PEEPAL, HARAD, BAHEDA, AMLA, NAGARMOTHA, VID NAMAK, VAIVIDANG, CHOTI ILLAICHI, TEJPATRA each 1 part

DOSES –

2-3 gm once or twice a day as directed by the Ayurvedic physician

ANUPAANA –

Preferably to be taken with normal room temperature water or with coconut water or as directed by the physician

CLINICAL USES –

-helpful in mild to moderate cases of acid peptic disorders when taken in early in the morning with coconut water for a month or so

-there is an increase in the sourness in the digestive juices in such disorders, this AVIPATTIKAR effectively rehulates the normal secretions of the digestive juices over the time

-this combination also  has mild laxative action at the level of upper GIT which means it helps to move the stomach  contents further in to the intestinal area thus decreasing the acidic symptoms

-for quick relief from acidity this powder can be given in a dose of 2 gm mixed with a little sodabicarbonate

-some patients of APD are also having loose stools as one of the symptoms, in such cases this should be given mixed with a little GHEE and honey before the meals, this way it doesn’t increase the intestinal movements

-in many cases of APD disorders there is severe headache and this compound also relieves this headache

–when there is too much increase of acidiy or acidic environment increases in the circulatory system, it causes a different kind of pains in the boy with burning, in such conditions this is very helpful

—helps in the management of some kinds of migraine type headaches

—in many cases of albuminurea this is a vary fruitful medicine

—when due to nephritis there is swelling on the face & the blood becomes acidic, increased pitta in the abdomen, burning micturition with weakness of the vision    & fatigue in the body, chronic kidney disease is most of the time associated with chronic constipation and this combination helps in such cases very well

EXPECTED DISCOMFORTS – 

Sometimes this can cause loose motions if taken in large doses.
